Bright and bold colours pave the way for 629LA’s success

In an industry as crowded as the streetwear scene, it can be hard to stand out from the crowd. But 629LA have managed just that through their bold colour palettes.

The brand have held such incredible consistency with their tones that fans have caught on and consistently copped their items.

“Colour has always been something that grabs my attention. It can have such a big impact on something depending on your choice of colour,” they told Wear? Archives.

But, 629LA, a label also known as ROSE, aren’t just producing bright items of clothing.

I want to make sure I tap into all aspects of colours too because I appreciate all shades and tones and their nuances.

Moving away from their early days printing on Gildan t-shirts, ROSE have found a way to merge their vibrant palette with unorthodox designs.

Their pieces often involve gothic and grunge aesthetics, flirting with the status of designer clothing.

What I design is literally how I’m feeling, whatever it is that I’m going through or stuff around me in my daily life,”

I want ROSE to be bigger than clothes. Fashion was just the first category I chose because it’s always been a big deal to me and I was extremely invested into it ever since I was young. ROSE will have different outlets and categories.

The brand highlighted how not everyone who likes ROSE is associated with streetwear, furthering their appeal to the higher end of the industry.

This cross-genre ambition has helped ROSE define and refine their position in the scene, and beyond it.

Acknowledging that they are still working on their craft, the future is in ROSE’s hands. With their colour palette, aesthetic and ambition, the label have are on their own upwards trajectory.
